Today was a major press conference organized by Rep. Maloney's office and also featuring Sen. Clinton, Sen. Schumer (big first!), Rep. Nadler, Rep. Fosella. Additionally, several sick first responders, resident group representitives, and myself spoke.
The conference was organized to publicize the fact that several sick first responders (and in one case, the son of a sick first responder) are being sent to DC by the New York contingent to attend the State of the Union address tomorrow night. The conference went well; Clinton's late addition to the roster proved to really send interest in the issue skyrocketing!
